Hear the ballads

The production of the Performed Words site is the work of many people. Synchrotext was produced by programmer Brandon Cox and designer Mike Mancuso of Hylotek, Inc. under the direction of a Smithsonian team of Marc Bretzfelder, Bruce Falk, and Peter Seitel (PS)

The Atherton Sidell Grant Fund provided support.

The Haya Ballad library is also a work of many hours. Unless otherwise noted, performances were recorded by PS. Transcriptions were made by a team of Winifred Kisiraga, Elias Kashunza, and PS. Translations and annotations are by PS, in consultation with a great many Haya teachers. Editing of the Synchrotext presentation is by PS.
